Google Pixel 10 Pro Review: A Camera Masterpiece (With One Familiar Flaw)

I tried photographing my nephew running around a dimly lit living room, and the Pixel 10 Pro didn't even break a sweat. The new zero-shutter-lag pipeline means you actually capture the exact millisecond you press the button.

The 5x telephoto lens is also sharper this year. I used it to zoom in on a menu across a cafe, and the text was perfectly legible without that weird AI-sharpened oil-painting look we saw in previous generations.

Battery and Heat: The Tensor G5 Reality Check Here is where things get grounded in reality. The new Tensor G5 chip is snappy for daily tasks. Switching between Maps, Spotify, and Chrome feels completely frictionless. But when I tried playing Genshin Impact on a hot afternoon, the area right below the camera bar got noticeably warm after 15 minutes.

The battery life is... fine. Taking it off the charger at 7 AM, I usually hit 15% by 9 PM with heavy use. It won't give you two-day battery life, and the 30W charging speed still feels painfully slow in 2026 when competitors are doing 80W or more.

The Verdict If you want a phone that guarantees a perfect photo every single time you press the shutter, the Pixel 10 Pro is unbeatable. Just make sure you bring a power bank if you plan on staying out late.
