For years, the Logitech MX Master series has been the undisputed champion of the office desk. It is the mouse you see in every tech YouTuber's background and the one tool most professionals refuse to compromise on. But how do you improve a mouse that many already consider perfect?

At first glance, the MX Master 4 looks nearly identical to its predecessor, the 3S. It retains that iconic, deeply sculpted ergonomic shape that cradles the right hand perfectly. (Unfortunately, left-handed users are still left waiting in 2026).
However, the materials have been upgraded. Logitech has shifted to a new micro-textured, sustainable bio-resin that completely eliminates the dreaded "sticky rubber" degradation issue that plagued older models after years of use. It feels more premium and breathes better during long summer work sessions. The "Quiet Clicks" are back, but the tactile feedback has been sharpened, making every click feel deliberate despite being virtually silent.
The MagSpeed Wheel: Still Unmatched
The electromagnetic MagSpeed scroll wheel remains the best in the business. Sensor Performance and Battery Life
The new 12,000 DPI Darkfield sensor tracks flawlessly on any surface, including completely transparent glass. While 12,000 DPI is overkill for office work, it is a welcome addition for professionals working across multiple 4K and 8K monitors, allowing you to cross massive screen real estate with minimal wrist movement.
Battery life remains phenomenal. A full charge via USB-C grants up to 80 days of use. More importantly, a one-minute emergency charge gives you a full three hours of use, saving us during tight deadlines when we realized we forgot to plug it in.
